Answered prayer!

I'm thankful for the Ladies prayer time before the service today. We prayed for several needs. One need was for a 10 year old girl named Alleya to be saved. She told me last week that she had never asked Jesus into her heart and when I asked her if she wanted to she said, not now. I purposed in my heart that if she came today that I would again pull her aside and tell her the importance of being saved. She understood she was a sinner and started to cry. She prayed that Jesus would come into her heart to save her! YEAH! A victory! It was a good service today. The Lord also calmed my nerves when our ensemble sang "I have been blessed" for the thanksgiving special. It is a busy week with the nursing home in a couple hours and a rescue mission service tuesday but it will be fun. God is good!

Youth Impact Game...with Drew...

Drew decided he wanted to try the game for youth impact. It was 2 tennis balls in the feet of pantyhose and the object of the game was to knock down bottles of water before your opponent.

Boys at Baker Pool...

We had a good time at the pool yesterday. We are getting all the summer fun things done before we get back to the school routine. It was a nice day yesterday and so we went to New Castle to the Baker Pool.

Our 4th of July...

We had a great night for the 4th of July. Spencer assembled a small grill we had around the church and we all cooked out on it. At fireworks time James took us all on the roof of the church! It was so much fun. This is a video of once I got down, the boys were still on the roof with daddy.

Chuck E Cheese

Marc's 8th Birthday was so much fun! Wendy took me and the boys to Chuck E. Cheese when they opened and the boys had tons of tokens and played lots of games. I must say I did set the High Score for the Street Hoops game. My score was 155! Whoo-to-the-hoo!

We went on a family bike ride with James and the boys and we went to the reservoir to bike and the boys jumped off the dock into the water. They just loved that. It was really fun doing the "boy stuff". Then we went to Anderson to the Cracker Barrell. It was really good food and a fun time.

We celebrated Marcs Bday with my mom and dad Saturday and we had a lot of fun and Marc was spoiled so much with presents and cake and ice cream.

Our Family Getaway (Much Needed!)

Our lives have been work-work-work, go-go-go non-stop for quite a while now. We set a date and all 5 of us went downtown to Indy and spent a day. First we went to Cracker Barrell for breakfast (can I get an AMEN!!), then we went to the Indians baseball game. We caught a t-shirt, then we walked to Circle Center mall and ate at Asian Chao which is our favorite and the lady there even remembered us from when we would ride our bikes there each Saturday when Matthew was a baby. We went upstairs at Circle Center and played in the arcade for a while. My favorite game there is deal or no-deal and you can win 2,000 tickets. I'm tellin ya its a kiddie los vegas! After the mall, we walked to Conseco Fieldhouse to see if anybody famous was practicing in the practice gym and we shopped in the gift shop. We walked back to Victory Field and saw the 2nd game (it was a double header) and then we went to Anderson on the way home and raced Go-Karts. Ok, so i made a bet with James that whoever lost had to buy dinner for the other. I'm convinced that somehow he got the guy to drain power out of my go-kart cuz i came in 2nd and y'all know I was trying! Then we went to Mulligans for dinner and I had to pay. It was a wonderful day. We dropped all the responsibility of life and the current stresses we have and just got away. I loved it. I thank God for my family. God has been so good to me.

My baby is 5!!

Matthew turned 5 recently and had a Super Mario Bros Birthday Party!

We played Mario Bingo, had a Mario Cake and Mario Pinata. We played Ring Toss with 2-liter bottles of soda. We had a really fun time! I still can't believe my baby is 5!!

My mom and I went to Orlando Florida this past week to take the kids to Disney. We had a great time. It was a lot of fun. The boys went to the Magic Kingdom and we got to see James sister Cassandra and her two beautiful girls. It was the first time my boys have seen their cousins. We stayed in Pensacola one night in a hotel off the beach. It was amazing. It was a very fun vacation!

January 2011, Retro Night Ladies Fellowship...

We had a really fun ladie meeting Tuesday night at Temple Baptist. We did a throw-back night to the 50's, 60's and 70's. It was a blast! Penny Gwaltney, (my mom) did her testimony and our devotion and it was AMAZING! We had such a good time!
