New Poll....

I want your opinion. I have been thinking of going dark again. Just a light brown hair color. I know most people go lighter for summer, but I am just wanting a change. Let me know your opinion, so VOTE!

Vote to the left on Blonde or Brunette...

Shelby Rae

As most of you know my best friend through all of high school was Shelby Rae Smith who died in the Summer of 1999. She was hit by a drunk driver. Anyway, last night we had a teen activity at our house in which 20 teens came over to our house to play football, mafia, and eat pizza. One of the girls there was named Shelby which was strange at first but I enjoyed getting to know her. Then in conversation she said someone called her Shelby Rae and I was like WHAT??? Her middle name was Rae. It was so strange!

Kennedy Girls are in Town!

Rob, Corey and the girls were visiting our church just before their vacation. We had such a fun time with them. We were brave to take 7 kids to lunch at the mexican restaurant, but we had a GREAT time. Here are pictures...

(Keep in mind Marc and Elizabeth are sweet on each other!)

Pics of March Ladies meeting

I know it is already April but I wanted to post pictures of our Headbanz game. Each woman was wearing a Burger King hat with a picture of an object on it. They had to guess the object to win. It was a BLAST!

Ladies Meeting Tonight...

Our church is having a Ladies Meeting tonight and the theme is "Showers of Blessings." I will be speaking on Psalms 1:1 about how to be blessed and what the Bible says about Walking, Standing and Sitting.

"As you travel down life's pathway, may this ever be your goal; Keep your eye upon the doughnut, and not upon the hole!"

Easter Sunday...

Easter Sunday, Easter Sunday, Easter Sunday. WOW! What a busy and crazy day! I don't remember it being this way last year. It was overwhelmingly crazy with things to remember and do. We had over 40 kids from our bus route that most of them were out of control! Our usual Jr. Church leader was out of state so the normal calm was not there. Marc was hit in the head by an Easter egg during class and was carried into the service crying! We had 130 people in attendance at church this morning. Praise the Lord! We are glad to have so many there today. I need a nap- I can only imagine about James!

I am excited about the Ladies meeting Tuesday! It will be fun!

Computer was broken.

We had our computer in the shop all week. We just got it back today.

I had a great birthday on Sunday April 5th. James got chinese for me Saturday for dinner and Sunday he took me out to a mexican restaurant. It was so good. I got a new pillow and a generous Wal-mart gift card from James and the boys. As some of you know I have had a hard time sleeping so the pillow is really perfect for me. (The doc gave me Ambien since then and it works like a charm!)I love the birthday card the boys gave me. This year they were all able to sign their names on my card. I love it! I didn't expect a gift from James and the boys because I just got a dishwasher and range. I love them.

Sunday we celebrated our 1 year anniversary of James being the full-time Pastor at TBC. We celebrated with a cake and ice cream social after church. I tried so hard to not eat cake, because I am trying to lose a few lbs before our big 10 year anniversary celebration this summer, but one lady noticed I wasn't eating and made up a plate for me! Ha!

We are gearing up for Easter sunday services at church. We are excited. I will do a post after Sunday to report how it went. Unfortunately my digital camera is broken so I can't take pics of anything for now. Sorry.

Poll results...

For those of you who voted in the "How long can James go without playing basketball" poll... James just played his first game of 1-on-1 with a friend who knows of his injury and was careful. I figured it to be 7 1/2 weeks post-surgery. Congratulations to those who guessed 3 months- 5 months correctly!!
